The Health Research Regulations were announced in 2018 to correlate with introduction of GDPR
These Regulations give effect to GPDR in relation to all health research, and it is important for Researchers to familiarise themselves with the responsibilities under the Regulations.
Under the Regulations, Health Research can be defined as:
- Experimental, translational and clinical research
- Public health and social care research
- Population health research
- Basic and translational health research
- Research into treatment strategies, medical device or product development
